Taking a Look at the Upcoming Matches the Raptors Will Be Playing

The Raptors are Canada’s one and only basketball team that competes in the National Basketball Association (NBA). By virtue of that alone, the Raptors are one of Canada’s most popular and most beloved basketball team. Based in Toronto, the Raptors’ track record puts them as one of the most successful basketball teams of the early 2000s. They’ve set records for league-attendance in the early years of the 21st century.

Certainly, the Raptors’ peak came not 4 years ago, during the 2019 playoffs. Not only did the Toronto team win their first ever Eastern Conference, but they also progressed all the way to the NBA Finals, which they won, earning their first, and to-date, only NBA championship.

In recent matches, the Raptors have not had the same fortune as their 2019 season. However, they are not doing too bad. Just recently, they defeated the Miami Heat in a fairly exciting match. So far, they’ve played 14 overall matches, and their track record is 50/50, with 7 wins and 7 losses. How they fair remains to be seen, but one thing is certain. Websites for sport betting in Canada are flooded by Raptors fans, trying to support their team. So, for those fans, let us take a look at the upcoming matches and maybe discuss the Raptors’ odds.

Vs. Atlanta Hawks

Coming in just a couple of days, the Toronto Raptors will be facing off against the Atlanta Hawks on November 19, at 6 P.M. eastern standard time. Just recently, the Hawks went head-to-head with the Celtics, who have gone 8 straight matches without losing. Their hot streak continued in the match against the Atlanta team, when they beat them with a score of 126 – 101.

So, The Hawks are coming into this off the heels of a massive defeat, whereas the Raptors are bringing the joy of victory into the match. So, the question is, who is going to be taking the crown this time around?

Quite a few are putting their money on the Hawks. And certainly, the Atlanta team has the better track record, though not by much. Fans of the Raptors are certain that the Toronto team can overcome the odds, and take the Hawks down. It is worth noting, the game will be played in Atlanta, so the Raptors are coming at it with a disadvantage.

Vs. Brooklyn Nets

Five days after they are scheduled to play the Hawks, the Raptors will be facing off against the Brooklyn Nets. The match will be taking place on Nov 23 in 7:30 PM eastern standard time. The game will be played in the Toronto Raptors’ home stadium, the Scotiabank Arena.

Most critics, and even fans, of the Brooklyn Nets will agree that the Nets are vulnerable when it comes to defense. Which means that the Raptors could exploit this weakness and take down the Brooklyn team. Not to mention, the Nets have not been doing too well this season in general. So far, they have lost 9 out of the 15 games that they’ve played.

It remains to be seen how the Nets do against Portland, Memphis, and Philadelphia, but so far, it doesn’t seem like they will turn the tides this season. Not to mention, they are playing at the Raptors’ home stadium, so they are already at a disadvantage.

The End of November Matches

After their match with the Brooklyn Nets, the Raptors will be playing three more matches by November’s end. The Dallas Mavericks match is coming on November 26, the Cleveland Cavaliers match is only two days after that, and the match against the New Orleans Pelicans is taking place on November 30.
