The defending champions are on the verge of the franchise’s first sweep!
In what was their most dominating performance of the series, the Toronto Raptors came out on fire, locked down the paint, and answered every single attempt at a Brooklyn run. This was a game that saw various players step up, from Fred VanVleet triples, to Pascal Siakam drives, to OG Anunoby shutting down Caris Levert.
Brooklyn appeared to have run out of answers. After outscoring the Raptors by 20 in the paint, Toronto has owned the paint over the last two games — preventing Jarrett Allen from even attempting a field goal! While Brooklyn did well in hitting their triples (16-for-51), the one area that was supposed to be their saving grace, the Raptors responded in kind, draining 18-for-38.
As long as the Raptors play at this level, opponents will be hard-pressed — whether fully healthy or injury-depleted — to gain any advantage. Check out the latest podcast as we begin prepping our vocals to loudly proclaim on Sunday, THAT’S A RAP on the Brooklyn Nets!
