On This Episode:
This past weekend was supposed to be the NCAA’s Final Four, which also means the Basketball Hall of Fame inductees were to be announced. It’s good to know that not all sports-related events have been cancelled! The class of 2020 is easily one of — if not THE— most memorable groups in Basketball history: Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Tamika Catchings, Rudy Tomjanovich, Kim Mulkey, Barbara Stevens, Eddie Sutton, and Patrick Baumann.
As the saying goes, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. When the NBA introduced H.O.R.S.E. to All-Star weekend in 2009, it was largely a flop and, after one more edition in 2010, a failed experiment. But these are different times. With fans everywhere desperate for basketball, the NBA is re-introducing H.O.R.S.E. — quarantine edition — with a mix of NBA, WNBA, and NBA alumni. What do you think of the idea and lineup?

When we recorded the episode, Chicago was still pursuing Bobby Webster for their vacant Executive VP position. While the opening has since been filled by Arturas Karnisovas, now former GM of the Denver Nuggets, the pursuit of Raptors executives isn’t likely to end.
Bias aside, the highlight of the episode was comparing NBA players with Simpsons characters. Who do you think is the resident Homer Simpson? Marge? Duffman? This was a fun segment and you’re encouraged to post your thoughts below!
