The NBA season is a roller coaster, and if you needed a reminder of that, just look at the past three weeks for the Raptors. The injury-riddled team finally got all its pieces back... then dropped a 1-point heartbreaker to DeMar DeRozan and the Spurs. But that sparked an awesome winning streak, and shortly thereafter Pascal Siakam was named an All-Star starter!
But then Rondae Hollis-Jefferson sprained his ankle.
Then Siakam was named player of the week!
But Marc Gasol re-injured his hamstring.
Then Kyle Lowry was named an All-Star reserve!
Then the Raptors won their 10th straight, securing second place and sending Nick Nurse to the All-Star game... but then we found out Norman Powell injured his hand the same game.
So here we are. The Raptors are great, but we keep getting hit with depressing injury news.
Winning cures all, of course, so let’s see if the Raptors can make us all feel a little better by winning their 11th straight today.
