After a two-week hiatus, the Sunday edition of That’s A Rap had a lot of catching up to do with various news bits from the NBA.

It’s only been two weeks, but a lot has happened since the last Sunday edition of That’s A Rap.

The NBA lost a legend, plan on honouring another legend, and hope create some new legends during All-Star Weekend.

Before you get prepped for tonight’s game vs. San Antonio (oh hi DeMar), check out the latest episode of That’s A Rap.

On This Episode:

The NBA lost a pioneer in David Stern. For a lot of us — bloggers, podcasters, and fans alike — Stern was the face of the NBA. He didn’t play or coach a single minute in the NBA, but his impact was far greater for the sport. Our prayers go out to the Stern family and their friends.

The Miami Heat announced that Dwyane Wade will be receiving a three-day retirement. Before you ask why, remember that this is the same organization that retired Michael Jordan’s #23 jersey. He never played for Miami, and even terrorized them throughout his career.

All-Star Weekend is showing up on the horizon. Names are being floated around for participants of Saturday night festivities — Skills Challenge, 3-Point Competition, and Slam Dunk Contest. Who would you like to see participate? Should any of our beloved Raptors take part?
