After yesterday’s Marc Gasol trade left the Raptors with 11 players and the Greg Monroe salary dump brought that number down to ten, there was no question that Masai Ujiri would be busy picking up players in the short-term.
That starts today, as The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports that the Raptors will sign Malcolm Miller from the Raptors 905 to a 10-day contract.

Miller played in 15 games and started four for the Raptors in 2017-18, averaging 2.5 points in 8.4 minutes per game.
After surgery on a torn labrum held him out of basketball action for six months, Miller has been back with the Raptors 905 for three weeks and has progressed nicely — averaging 8.2 points in six games while shooting 43% and 33% from three.
There are happy memories of Miller’s time with the Raptors, including a 3-for-3 shooting night against the Rockets last season, but this is still a very tangential move. Expect more to come soon.
