After today’s trade deadline bombshell, the Raptors face the Atlanta Hawks, where they will only have nine active players.

Today was supposed to be abouthappy feelings. The Raptors were scheduled to get Jonas Valanciunas back from his hand injury, making it he first time in months that they had a fully healthy roster. Then out of nowhere, Adrian Wojnarowski dropped the bomb that the Raptors traded JV, along with Delon Wright, CJ Miles and a 2024 second round pick to the Memphis Grizzlies for Marc Gasol.

While many fans were up in arms about the deal (myself included), we realize that there is an actual game to be played tonight. Tonight it’s the Atlanta Hawks, a game for which the Raptors will have nine active players after the announcement that Kawhi Leonard will miss the game with a sore knee.
