Thanks to their trip to Japan, the Toronto Raptors are facing a shortened preseason, with only one home contest: today’s tilt against the Bulls. Also thanks to their trip to Japan, the Raptors are going to be without... um, everyone?
Kyle Lowry won’t play. Neither will Ibaka, Siakam, Gasol, Powell, or VanVleet.— Blake Murphy (@BlakeMurphyODC) October 13, 2019
With Japan jet lag, it’s fully an audition night.
That’s, what, six of the top seven players on the team? Preseason basketball, it’s faaantastic!
As unfortunate as that may be for anyone that paid for a ticket to today’s game, that means plenty of opportunities: for a guy like OG Anunoby to get into a rhythm, and for guys like Matt Thomas and Terence Davis to cement their status in the rotation, for youngsters like Dewan Hernandez and maybe Isaiah Taylor to show the coaches what they can do. As for who starts? My best guesses below!
As for the Bulls, they look to be close to full strength, so this may their opportunity to take down the champs! Let’s get to the details:
