Raptors vs. Trailblazers Game Thread: Pre-game updates, TV info, and more

New, comments

Both teams head to Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC to kick-off the 2018 preseason in a Saturday evening tilt.

It’s happening! “It” being basketball, of course, and it’s the (un)official beginning of the Raptors’ 2018 season led by Kyle Lowry and Kawhi Friggin’ Leonard, plus all the rest of the gang that you know and love (I’m looking at you Pascal Siakam).

We’re expecting to see a lot of different guys hit the floor tonight in a lot of funky combinations, perhaps with a full 14-man* roster being utilized. It should be a rip-roaring, helluva good time for eager Raptor fans ready to turn the page, and an even better time for fellow writers who’ve been milking single tweets and cell-phone video clips all summer for content.

The fifteenth man, OG Anunoby, will be sitting tonight for personal reasons, as per TSN’s Josh Lewenberg.

I’m reading our OG is dealing with a death in his family, but since I haven’t seen an official report, I won’t speculate further. Let’s send him our love and leave tonight’s absence at that. Everyone else on the roster looks ready to go, however.
