Raptors vs. Timberwolves Summer League Game Thread

Will the Raptors get their first win in Summer League? What kind of lineups will we see? And how are the Timberwolves looking? Let’s watch.

If you watched the Raptors’ first Summer League game on Friday (or just read Jacob’s recap here), you may have come away disappointed. The team, including OG Anunoby, didn’t do so well, struggling to even crack 80 points in a losing effort to the Pelicans. Eh, it happens.

The great thing about Summer League is: it doesn’t really matter. In fact, it’s best to just approach today’s game against the Timberwolves as another opportunity to see what Toronto and head coach Nick Nurse can put together in the lab. We know the key players already — Anunoby, Malcolm Miller, Alfonzo McKinnie — everyone else after that is a wild card.

If it makes you feel any better, the Timberwolves’s game from Friday was a tough loss to the Denver Nuggets in which they scored a mere — get ready for this — 69 points. Isaiah Cousins was the high scorer for the team with 15 points. It’s Summer League, folks.

Still, read Zakaria Abdulle’s preview here and then, ignore the nice day outside and: let’s watch.
