The NBA regular season is over, so now we finally have the answer: the Raptors and Wizards will play against each other in a 7-game opening round in the NBA Playoffs in the year 2018. What a time.
Owing to Toronto’s sustained excellence in 2017-18, the Raps enter the post-season as the East’s number one seed, a 59-win juggernaut that beat most every team in the league at least once (except the Warriors and the Thunder, but whatever). They were also a top five offense and defense for most of that run, and a legitimately Fun and Good team to watch.
The Wizards, meanwhile, slid to eighth in an effort to either set up a brilliant hero’s journey narrative for the Kyle Lowry-DeMar DeRozan-Jonas Valanciunas core of the Raptors, or because they hate each other.
Either way, here we are: its the 1 vs. 8 match-up, it’s Raps-Wiz, and it’s on the following dates at these select times:
