Raptors vs. Hawks Game Thread: Pre-game updates, TV info and more

New faces abound as the Raptors host the lowly Hawks.

NBA: Toronto Raptors at Atlanta Hawks Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Playing the Atlanta Hawks for the fourth time this season is hardly exciting, but there’s at least one first time to pique our interest tonight.

Yes, the Raptors added a new player to the fold yesterday, signing G-League star and Indiana alum Nigel Hayes to a ten-day contract. Hayes is signed, but not with the team tonight due to a visa issue.

Alas, that means it’s the same Raptors going against those same lousy Hawks. Toronto has won the three previous matchups with Atlanta by 15, 13, and 34, and with the “elite eight” of being awful duking it out for worst team in the league, there’s solid reason to think we’re in for a repeat.

So here we go, the Raptors looking for their fifth straight win against a team trying to lose. Let’s just say the 6 PM start time makes it a little easier to stay awake.

If you’re pumped for it, check out Cory Knibutat’s preview from earlier today. Here are the game details:
