For the fourth time already this season, DeMar DeRozan has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

The Raptors went 4-0 this week, as DeRozan averaged 20.8 points on 48.2% shooting, 5.8 assists and 3.0 rebounds. He had a net rating of 12.1 in the wins, which came against Detroit, Orlando, Washington, and Charlotte.
It’s another feather in DeRozan’s cap, one that comes in the first season he’s really had his name thrown whole-heartedly into the MVP discussion. While better candidates exist — James Harden’s heroic numbers in Houston, Anthony Davis going H.A.M. to get the Pelicans into the playoffs — DeRozan is a solid top five guy, and certainly will get votes outside of the Toronto media market.
DeRozan was also named Player of the Month for the month of January.
