OG Anunoby is a rookie for the 2017-18 Toronto Raptors. Here is his Quote of the Week for the week of March 14, 2018.
After some time away from the court due to a sprained ankle, OG Anunoby returned to the Raptors bench for a series of games this past week, including one in the home of his alma mater, Indiana.
As such, the local press questioned OG about his season so far. In particular, there were questions/comments directed at his previous ACL injury, the one that was supposed to keep him out for some time. Here is an excerpt of said exchange:
Q: “Back when it happened, it was like last January, it happened and right away people were thinking that’d keep you out a year, a year-and-a-half, and you were right back into it.
OG: “Yeah, I don’t know why they said that.”
It remains a mystery.
(For the record, OG is averaging 5.8 points and 2.4 rebounds per game, while shooting 35 percent from three. He has appeared in 63 of Toronto’s games, and started 51 of them.)
