Today, December 5, is ESPN’s big Toronto Raptors All Access Day, which means every ESPN NBA employee you can imagine is visiting our fine city.
One of them, Rachel Nichols, host of ESPN’s The Jump, sat down for a one-on-one with Kyle Lowry to get his thoughts on the moment the Raptors traded his best friend this past summer.
ESPN is All-Access in Toronto today, which meant @Klow7 got VERY real on the new-look Raptors, the first time he spoke to Kawhi, how he found out DeMar had been traded in a 2:30am phone call and, well, you're going to have to see his answer to the final question for yourself. pic.twitter.com/aXx9Cxt89S

If you’ve been following this saga, there’s really nothing revelatory here; of course Lowry is sad to see his friend traded away, but he understands it’s a business; Lowry’s also smart enough to know that the championship experience Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green bring to the Raptors gives them a great opportunity to contend this season.
Most notable, perhaps, is Lowry’s somewhat cold response to Nichols’ question about his relationship with Masai Ujiri... there doesn’t seem to be much of one. But as far as I can tell, the two men both remain focused on one goal: winning the gold ball. And they’ll each do their jobs as best they can in order to meet that goal.
Be sure to hit up ESPN all day for all kinds of Raptors goodies!
