After suffering a dislocated left thumb in last night’s game against Golden State, Raptors centre Jonas Valanciunas has undergone surgery and will be out four weeks, according to the team.

Valanciunas injured the thumb in the second quarter last night, as Draymond Green went for a hard swipe of the ball that caught his hand.
In a related move, the Raptors called up Chris Boucher from the Raptors 905 to be with the team ahead of tomorrow night’s game in Portland. Boucher, who has played centre with the 905 and is averaging close to 30 points per game, will definitely get a frontcourt opportunity.
Chris Boucher has been called up to the Raptors. He has 37 NBA days remaining by my count. He’ll be with the team in Portland.

We’ll also see a lot more of Greg Monroe with the second unit, as Moose played some reassuring minutes against Golden State last night.
