Raptors vs. Lakers Game Thread: Pre-game updates, TV info and more

Kawhi will have the night off as the Raptors visit the King in his new West Coast haunt.

Kawhi Leonard is ducking LeBron James! Clearly, he is an irredeemable coward. Yet another failure in the long line of non-quite-LeBron-stoppers that the Raptors have run out over the years. How foolish we were to believe that things had changed!

Ahem. Sorry about that. I’m still in the Halloween spirit, but perhaps I went too far with my scare-mongering. Nonetheless, no, Kawhi Leonard is not playing in tonight’s game against LeBron James and the Lakers, as Leonard will rest after jamming his ankle late in Friday’s game against the Suns. Yes, that means that before the night has expired you will inevitably witness someone question whether Leonard will ever again play a game as a member of the Raptors. No, reminding them that the Raptors have rested Leonard in back-to-back situations, of which this is one, will do nothing to assuage their fears.

Nevertheless, this should be a fun game. The Lakers are a talented turmoil, and the Raptors remain very good and mostly healthy. Let’s watch!
