Raptors vs. Jazz Game Thread: Pre-game updates, TV info, and more

The Raptors are back at home, and would you believe it: they’d like to keep winning games there. The Jazz have other ideas.

Having walked around the new Welcome Toronto court in the ACC, I can personally confirm: it is quite nice. Sure the black-and-gold colour scheme is inspired by the Drake and OVO brand, and maybe that’s kind of corny, but still, in effect, it is stylish and cool. Plus: the Welcome Toronto initiative is also quite nice. Man, isn’t basketball just so nice?

Well, yes and no. The Utah Jazz are here, and while I’m sure they’re all very nice young men (except for cagey old man Joe Ingles; I joke Aussies, please settle down), they are the Raptors’ opponent. As such, Toronto should approach with extreme caution.

Wait, wait, let me walk that back — they should approach with just caution, full stop. The Jazz are currently 20-28, and while they have some names we all recognize and fear (big man Rudy Gobert, wizard Ricky Rubio, exciting rookie Donovan Mitchell), they did just get beat up by the Atlanta Hawks.

We’ve got Sully Akbari here with his full preview of Raptors-Jazz.

And now it’s time for my motto: let’s watch.

Where to Watch:

Sportsnet One, 7:30 p.m. ET

Lineups:

Toronto - Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, OG Anunoby, Serge Ibaka, Jonas Valanciunas

Utah – Ricky Rubio, Donovan Mitchell, Joe Ingles, Derrick Favors, Rudy Gobert

Injuries:

Toronto – Everybody’s healthy!

Utah – Dante Exum (out, poor guy), Rodney Hood (out, living legend), Thabo Sefolosha (out, but not forgotten)
