OG Anunoby is a rookie for the 2017-18 Toronto Raptors. Here is his Quote of the Week for the week of January 3, 2018.
The Raptors recently played the Milwaukee Bucks, a team built around star Giannis Antetokounmpo, twice. For context: Giannis currently leads his team in points, rebounds, and assists. By most every metric, he is one of the best players in the league.
OG was asked how it felt to guard Giannis, and ultra-talented players of his ilk (like Kevin Durant and James Harden). Here is what he told Mike Ganter of the Toronto Sun:
“I can compete with everyone,” Anunoby said when asked if he’s ever felt overmatched. “I believed that coming into the season but as the season has gone on I believe it even more.”
The Raptors beat the Bucks both times. OG can indeed compete with everyone.
