Kobe Bryant turned 39 on Wednesday. Yesterday, he took to Twitter to issue personal challenges to everyone including Isaiah Thomas, Kendrick Lamar, Richard Sherman, and our own DeMar DeRozan:
.@DeMar_DeRozan I challenge you to rekindle a lost friendship from your youth in Compton #MambaMentality pic.twitter.com/82XF2elJ1f

Earlier this summer, DeRozan conducted a lengthy Q&A with ESPN’s The Undefeated’s Marc Spears while holding a free basketball camp for 110 boys and girls ages 6 to 16 in Compton, California. Whether Kobe is referring to a specific lost friendship that can motivate DeRozan or not is unclear.
In the meantime, what would you want Kobe to challenge you to do? I’ll start:
i need kobe to challenge me to turn notifications off my phone for a day
