Jimmy Butler is the newest member of the “stars the Celtics could have traded for but didn’t” list. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, Butler is headed to the Wolves along with the 16th-overall pick in exchange for Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and the 7th-overall pick.
This has little to do with the Raptors, aside from the fact that there is one less piece on the board for the Celtics to not trade Terry Rozier for. Toronto only has to get demoralized by Butler twice a year now instead of three or four.
Use the comments for all of your Celtics slander — at least until they trade for Paul George later tonight.
