NBA Draft 2017: What you must know about every player at the Raptors’ free agent camp

The Raptors are hosting a workout for a bunch of free agents today and tomorrow. Here’s what you need to know.

Today the Raptors welcome more than 20 free agents who have played across the globe over the past season into the BioSteel Centre for a mini-camp of sorts. Presumably, the event will be used to evaluate talent to fill Toronto’s summer league roster.

Here’s what you need to know about each and every player rolling through Toronto today:

Gabe York - Scores a lot in the D-League, and was a decent lead guard at Arizona in his years as an upperclassman. Was featured in a doc with OG LaVar Ball.

Zach Auguste - Would immediately become the Raptors best barber.

Adam Smith - Surprisingly, he’s not white!

Alec Brown - The Horizon League record holder of career blocks, with 309.

Jalen Reynolds - OKAY!

Murphy Burnatowski - Waterloo native, despite sounding like a sportswriter from the Buffalo News.

Dyshawn Pierre - The pride of Whitby, his free throw sealed the Dayton upset of Ohio State in the first round of the 2014 NCAA Tournament, when the Flyers made a run to the Elite Eight.

Will Davis - His twitter bio reads, “#WITT #Splash #GroceryGang”. Count me in.

Norvel Pelle - He’s from Antigua.

Cleanthony Early - Survived a shooting outside a strip club and being on the 2014-15 Knicks. It’s a toss up as to which one is more inspirational.

Lamar Patterson - I once dropped 25 with him in a game of 2K.

AJ English - COLD BLOODED IN THE GERMAN LEAGUE.

Xavier Munford - If he makes the team, you know Sean Woodley is getting a “Munford and Sons” shirt made up.

Quincy Ford - Quincy remains a dope name.

Patrick Miller - Played with Robert Covington at Tennessee State.

Tyler Honeycutt - Was drafted ahead of Chandler Parsons, Jon Leuer, and [extremely Heinsohn voice] THE LITTLE GUY, Isaiah Thomas.

Malcolm Miller - Attended and played for Holy Cross, the alma mater of our future co-worker, Sill Bimmons.

RJ Hunter - Was entertaining as hell before being buried on the Celtics bench.

Alfonzo McKinnie - Was in the D-League Dunk Contest this past season.

Damien Inglis - Attended the same French training institute as Tony Parker, Ronny Turiaf and Boris Diaw.

Walt Lemon - If only he was related to Meadowlark Lemon.

John Jenkins - Played semi-rotation minutes on the #1 seed Hawks in 2015.

Geron Johnson - Rounding out the camp with the Jordan of the Lebanese League.

Late Addition:

The Raptors added Stefan Nastic to the camp roster this morning. He played this past season for the Orangeville A’s of the NBL. He also played HS ball at Thornhill Secondary, shout out the GTA.
