Raptors 905 begin run to the D-League title

Get ready because here’s the schedule for the first round.

Not to be overshadowed by the impending playoff run of the Raptors, their D-League partners to the west, the 905, are about to embark on their own run at the title. That’s right, starting tomorrow the Raptors 905, in just their second season, will play their first post-season games in franchise history. What a time.

The 905 finished the season first in the entire D-League at 39-11 and will play the Canton Charge (29-21) in the first round. The playoff structure is a tad different however. Game 1 is played at the visitor’s home — Canton, Ohio — with Games 2 and 3 in Mississauga. And then, that’s it: it’s a best of three series.

The 905 are favoured in the matchup and will likely have the help of Pascal Siakam and Bruno Caboclo down the stretch. It remains to be seen where Fred VanVleet ends up, since he’s been back and forth with the Raptors for most of the season, and is still needed until Kyle Lowry returns from injury.

Here’s how the schedule shakes out for the 905 vs. Charge series.

Raptors 905 Playoff Schedule - First Round

April 5 - Game 1: @ Canton Charge - 7pm - Facebook Live

April 8 - Game 2: vs. Canton Charge - 7pm - Facebook Live

April 11 - Game 3: vs. Canton Charge - 7pm - Facebook Live

And no, that’s not a typo: as has been the case all year, you can watch 905 games on Facebook Live. They’ll be broadcasting all the action so, if you really want to see how Bruno gets down, tune in.

Godspeed and good luck, baby Raps.
