Fan confidence before the Raptors’ Game 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks was at an all-time high. Check the poll here for confirmation. Despite Toronto’s struggles in Game 1s, people gave them a 91 percent chance of winning that game. We were all on-board with the idea right up until the moment turned and the Raptors lost.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Game 2 poll was less confident. Most still thought the Raptors would win — partly, I assume, because mostly Raps fans visit this site, but also because, 0-2 to the Bucks? Yeah, right. The results of that day’s poll started leaning towards the Bucks with a 78-22 split in favour of Toronto. Still overwhelmingly positive, but not without a thread of concern.
This, my friends, is the Raptors in a nutshell as they land in Milwaukee to face the Bucks in Game 3.
There were a lot of positives to take from Game 2: the Raptors built multiple double-digit leads, they forced both Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo into less-than-good shooting performances (6-of-14 and 9-of-24, respectively), they put up more than their season average in assists with 24, Kyle Lowry played an efficient game with 22 points on 6-of-12 shooting, Serge Ibaka was god in the second half.
But still, the Bucks kept it close, still they put the fear into Toronto, still we feel nervous. It wouldn’t be the Raptors in the playoffs otherwise.

G3 WOW IT'S A WRAP
G4 YO FUCK THIS TEAM
G5 YO BLOW IT U--WHOOYEAHHDHD
G7 yo fuck it we won
At this point, it’s fair to ask if the Raptors can re-write this narrative about their post-season. Last season saw an endless slog with memorable moments interspersed within — the Game 5 comeback, Lowry’s Game 7 against the Heat, those two wins against the Cavs — two years ago was a nightmare, and three seasons ago we were watching these young Raptors take their first uncertain steps onto the playoff stage. It sometimes feels like they’re still figuring things out. We continue to hang on.
Will anything change for Game 3? Let’s gauge the mood.
