Toupane signed a 10 day contract with the Milwaukee Bucks back on Februry 25th. However he didn’t get to finish it and was waived six days in, so the Bucks could make room for Terrence Jones. In his short stint in Milwaukee he appeared in two games failing to register a point. (He took one three and missed it.)
Toupane re-joining the 905 is a big boost for the D-League’s top club, although don’t be surprised if he gets another NBA shot in the future. With the 905, Toupane is averaging 16.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.2 steals coming off the bench. He was also named a D-League All-Star this season and was the league’s Most Improved Player a year ago.
It stands to reason the Raptors could sign Toupane to one of those new two-way contracts starting next season.
