Despite keeping up-to-date on the Eastern Conference standings, I don’t know what we’re supposed to be rooting for anymore. Maybe the only thing that matters is staying out of Milwaukee’s path for the first round of the playoffs?
In any case, here is an updated look at the Eastern Conference standings:

Boston lost to the Bucks, the Wizards lost to the Clippers, and the Raptors lost to the Hornets (never talk to me about that game) so everything holds steady for the time being. But things might get a little crazy very soon.
The Wizards’ games this week are @Utah, @Golden State and finally home to take on the Hornets. They’ve been on the road since Saturday and their schedule doesn’t really ease up until they finish their trip out west.
The Raptors will have to put the disappointment of last night behind them quickly, as their week looks like this — vs. Indiana, vs. Philadelphia, and @Indiana. This is another week where anything short of 2-1 would be disappointing. Honestly, I’d be surprised if the Raptors aren’t in the 3-seed at this time next week.
There is a lot of turmoil at the top of the East and the race for the 5-seed is tight as ever. Essentially, it’s impossible to say who the Raptors’ first round opponent will be, and whether they’ll avoid Cleveland’s side of the bracket or not.
Try not to think about this anymore.
