Tonight, I will head down to the Air Canada Centre and cheer on the greatest Raptors of my teenage life (if we’re talking dunk contest success). Terrence Ross AKA Terry Ross AKA @3tross1 AKA Amber Rose’s ex boy-toy returns as the gunner of a listless Orlando Magic team, and I’d be totally fine with him dropping 70 if it means a Raptors win.
Here’s some of his career highlights to celebrate the homecoming:
December’s Dunk-athon
This December Ross had a couple of sick, wicked and nasty in game crams on the 76ers and Blazers, respectively. Drunk Devlin aside, they are some dope dunks.
The Snapchat Smooch Sesh
At the height of their relationship, Rose became a courtside fixture at Raps games and may have even topped Drake as the most popular celebrity fan among 18-34 year old males (or at least their browsing histories). He even made it onto her snapchat, which is this decade’s Facebook official.
The Smash on Faried
Yup.
The 2013 Dunk Contest
In ‘13, Ross nearly had the dunk contest back before it wasn’t back, until it was back in 2016 and now it’s gone forever.
THE MAN ONCE SCORED 51 POINTS
Although it came in a loss, this game had people salivating at the potential of T Ross, which was always there despite the inconsistencies that plagued his tenure. In a cruel twist of fate, he couldn’t surpass Vince’s single game total, which would of sealed a jersey retirement IMO. “TERRENCE ROSS, IS THE BOSS! R-O-S-S but you can spell it B-O-S-S!”, Devlin is a national treasure.
The Game 7 Steal
We all know how it turned out, but the play by Ross was an incredible blend of athleticism and headiness to whip it off Pierce’s leg while in mid-air. On ESPN, Jurassic Park rocking and to the pure elation of the crowd, this could very well Ross’ best play in a Raptor uniform.
It’s a four game homestand for the Raptors this week, and their rise to the top of the East will continue as they will sweep away the likes of the Magic, Hornets, Pacers and Sixers.
BONUS PREDICTION: Out of nowhere, Kyle Lowry returns on Sunday against Philadelphia and plays a solid 20 minutes.
