Raptors vs. Lakers Game Thread: Toronto wants to ruin Lonzo’s birthday

There’s no two ways about it: Today is Lonzo Ball’s birthday, and the Raptors want to win against the Lakers. Sorry, not sorry.

NBA: Los Angeles Lakers at Phoenix Suns Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Today is the Los Angeles LakersLonzo Ball’s birthday. (Say that 10 times fast.) He turns 20, which is all nice and good — even if his dad will likely be obnoxious about it. The Raptors, as you know by now, are in Los Angeles to play the Lakers. They have lost two games in a row, which is decidedly not nice and good. In fact, it sucks.

These two emotive trains are heading straight towards each other and, as is often the case for emotions — to say nothing of trains — there can be only one.

We’re 30 minutes out from tip-off late into a Friday night, but there’s still time for Toronto to ruin Lonzo’s day, while also getting back into the win column. I say this is a thing worth celebrating.

Here’s our full preview of Raptors vs. Lakers.

Now get in the comments and let’s rain on some kid’s birthday.
