The 2016-17 Raptors broadcast schedule is here

“The channels are what we thought they were!” he yells in an extremely Dennis Green voice.

Brooklyn Nets v Toronto Raptors - Game One

Unless you are blessed with pockets as deep as Lake Ontario, you’ll be watching many Raptors games this season from the comfort of your couch, and not the Air Canada Centre. For you, my thrifty brethren, I’m pleased to announce that the Raptors announced their 2016-17 broadcast schedule today.

As has been the case for a few years, TSN and Sportsnet will each carry 41 regular season games. The usual characters return to call the action: Matt Devlin (“LOWRY”) will have play-by-play, with Jack Armstrong by his side on TSN, and Leo Rautins on Sportsnet.

Each network will share the spoils. Sportsnet nabs the first Raptors-Cavaliers Eastern Conference Finals rematch on October 28, while TSN gets the follow-up on November 15 and the next night’s game against the Golden State All-Stars.

On radio, meanwhile, Eric Smith and Paul Jones will again lead the call on Sportsnet 590 The FAN and TSN Radio 1050.
