In an official press release, the Raptors 905 announced on Thursday they've acquired the rights to Burlington, Ontario native Brady Heslip, who played for Team Canada at the 2015 Pan-Am Games where he averaged 13.0 points, and was part of the team competing at the FIBA Americas Championship in Mexico City, where Heslip averaged 10.7 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists.

Heslip is a shooter, and while it's hard to envision how he ends up on the NBA roster without a significant injury or trade, he's an asset and now the Raptors have his rights. In 2014, Heslip set a D-League record with 13 three-pointers made against Idaho in a 45-point performance.

In exchange, the Raptors 905 will be sending the rights to Ronald Roberts to the Reno Bighorns.
