The Olympics are a time to bring people together in the appreciation of sport and global unity. It’s a beautiful sentiment, that. Even when you’re totally just stuntin’ on some fools on the basketball court.
Team USA, which has clearly been restored to its Death Star role (minus the exhaust port) on the international basketball scene, steamrolled China today to the tune of 109-61. As you can imagine, it was not a competitive game.
That said, what we’ll all be talking about tomorrow is the moment below:
I think Team USA may be bored with China. https://t.co/cEnyDIw5Mb

Yes, to decide who would shoot a technical free throw (with your team sitting on a third quarter lead of 91-47), the Raptors’ DeMar DeRozan and the Bulls’ Jimmy Butler played rock, paper, scissors.
Now, that’s all fine and good — hilarious, even. But come on DeMar, you do not shoot on 3, you shoot after 3. What you doing? I sincerely hope Team USA ceaselessly razzes DeRozan about this. I hope someone gets a reaction from Kyle Lowry. I hope Coach K has to address this controversy.
DeRozan would go on to miss the free throw.
