Three years after the Raptors brought Masai Ujiri back as General Manager from his post in Denver, they're looking to extend his contract. After they've seen their record improve in each year, this would be a deserved extension for a man who has changed the landscape of the Franchise.
As reported by ESPN:
Story going online now co-scribed with @WindhorstESPN: Toronto is in advanced negotiations on a contract extension with GM Masai Ujiri.— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) August 11, 2016
The fact that MLSE is looking to do this despite Tim Leiweke (who brought Ujiri back) no longer being at the helm is a testament to the job Masai has done.
More to come as the news breaks.
