All has general been quiet on the Raptors' front since the DeMar extension two hours into free agency. After the Paul Millsap dreams died with Al Horford's signing in Boston, the only real rumours we've seen the Raptors attached to have been TMZ (seriously) reporting Dwane Casey has been seen talking to Meyers Leonard and Ryan Anderson.
This isn't alarming however, knowing that stealth is the name of the game for Masai Ujiri. The most recent report to come out to do with the Raptors linked them to Pau Gasol:
ESPN sources say Toronto has emerged as another Pau Gasol suitor, but Gasol could well opt to delay his decision until after Kevin Durant's.— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) July 3, 2016
Toronto/Minnesota/Portland/San Antonio have all registered firm interest in Gasol, but the landscape might be easier to judge after KD lands— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) July 3, 2016
Pau Gasol is a bit of a weird fit given that the Raptors have an incumbent heavy-minutes center in Jonas Valanciunas, drafted another one in Jakob Poeltl and are developing another one in Bebe. Given the cap gymnastics and salary dump it would require to fit him on the roster, I'm not sure I'm a fan.
But we'll let you decide.
