It may be the first day of summer, and the day after the final game of the 2015-16 NBA season, but for NBA-heads: professional basketball does not end here.
Today, we turn our attention to the details of the NBA Draft. And in Toronto, this means all eyes are now on General Manager Masai Ujiri as he sits with picks number nine and 27 in this year's extravaganza. Who Will the Raptors Take: According to Draft Express, our guide in these matters, the Raptors will grab Utah sophomore Jakob Poeltl at no. 9 and Ante Zizic, a big man from Croatia, at no. 27. Given the Raptors' needs in the frontcourt, and the team's desire to not have even more development projects on their roster, both these picks make some sense. Poeltl could be a backup C to replace Biyombo, and Zizic is a clear draft-and-stash candidate, which keeps roster spots open.
We've tried to profile a few players so far for that ninth spot. You can check out our thoughts here.
So, all that being said: Who ya got?
