The first Raptors Draft Workout, which includes Notre Dame's Demetrius Jackson, is here

New, comments

Starting today, the Raptors will have prospects in to workout in advance of the NBA Draft. Here's the first batch of names.

As has been well-documented, the Raptors have two picks in this year's NBA Draft -- they're selecting ninth and 27th. This is an amazing turn of events, considering the team also just went to the Eastern Conference Finals. Of course, it also puts a tough question in front of Toronto and GM Masai Ujiri: what are the Raptors going to do with these picks?

The first step in answering that question is to workout potential players in advance of the NBA Draft. To that end, over the next couple of days the Raptors will host the following players for workouts:

Name

I'll answer the obvious first question: Yes, that is the son of the Gary Payton. Second question: Is there anything at all to divine from this particular selection of players? The short answer here is: no. The Raptors appear to be initially looking at players of all shapes and sizes.

The list of top 100 prospects, courtesy of Draft Express, suggests that these players would be more in the range of the 27th pick (rather than the ninth). Though Demetrius Jackson is projected to go in the mid-teens. Will any of these players potentially wear the Raptors uniform?

Honestly, your guess is as good as mine.
