Did you know that in the last eight years the Raptors have only managed to beat the Portland Trail Blazers once? One time! Can you believe that? It was back in January 2013, a blowout of 102-79 proportions. Both teams were very different then.
(First fun fact: Guess who led all scorers in that game? Terrence Ross!)
(Second fun fact: The Raptors somehow started three players -- Jose Calderon, Aaron Gray, Mickael Pietrus -- who played a combined 47 minutes and managed to score exactly zero points.
(Third fun fact: All of Amir Johnson, Ross and Kyle Lowry came off the bench. Do you think Lowry dwells much on these times while he's blasting his way through the league as the undisputed leader of one of the league's best teams? I wonder.)
Anyway, tonight the Raptors are looking to get back onto their win-streaking ways. They sit at exactly one win in a row, which the astute will note is not a streak. They'll face down a Blazers team centred firmly on Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum, plus a bunch of decent--wait, oh god, is that... Gerald Henderson???
Just read Stephen Campbell's preview and prepare for the worst in the comments.
