FanDuel Friday: Welcome Back to the rest of the NBA season

The NBA returns after a long All-Star break and you can play along with the Raptors or one of the other 13 games on tonight's NBA slate by joining our one-day fantasy basketball tournament presented by FanDuel, SB Nation, and Raptors HQ!

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

The Raptors are back after an eventful All-Star Weekend and a decidedly uneventful trade deadline.

They face off against the Bulls in Chicago tonight and you can play along with that or one of the other 13 games on tonight's jam-packed NBA slate by joining one of the many one-day fantasy basketball tournaments available on FanDuel. You can even win some real money in the process.

Here's how:

  • Click here to enter the contest we're promoting tonight. It only costs $2 to play, the top 28,000 entries win an immediate cash payout, and first place walks away with a cool $20,000.
  • If you're not sure how FanDuel works, check out our initial post on the partnership from the start of the season.

As is our tradition, we've got a preferred Raptors play to recommend for tonight, just in case you want to have some extra rooting interest in your FanDuel lineup. Here it is:

Luis Scola ($3,500)

After all that trade speculation for an upgrade at the power forward position, Luis Scola remains the starting four for the Raptors tonight. His production is very unpredictable, but you can't argue with the idea of rostering a starting power forward that's capable of posting a subtle double-double on any given night for FanDuel's minimum salary of $3,500.

Scola's averaging 18.3 fantasy points per game on the strength of 9.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.4 blocks, and 0.9 turnovers per contest. He's numberFire.com's most valuable play tonight with a projection of 19.3 fantasy points (only barely above his season average) against the minimum salary, so rostering him would be a great way to free up some money for studs at your other positions.

Now, let's jump down to the comment section to construct some winning lineups!

Editor's Note: SB Nation's partner FanDuel is running a $250,000 fantasy basketball league tonight. It's $2 to enter and first place wins $20,000. Join now!
