Raptors officially open their new practice facility, the BioSteel Centre

Still not calling it the BS Centre, folks.

John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

It was an eventful day for the Raptors, and that's without mentioning tonight's game against the Timberwolves or All-Star Weekend. After it was announce in 2013 that the Raps were set on constructing a new state-of-the-art practice facility, we waited for over two years to see it finished. Today, the BioSteel Centre is officially open.

With the help of the Toronto Sun's Ryan Wolstat and TSN's Josh Lewenberg, let's take a look inside.

The court:

The training room:

The locker room:

Batman's lair, er, I mean, the screens in the Raptors war room:

This is what state-of-the-art looks like:

And finally, a nice touch for the Raptors' main media relations man:

To hear some of the quotes coming out of the grand opening today, it was clear that GM Masai Ujiri was proud of the facility. He told the assembled reporters that one of his first jobs under Bryan Colangelo was to look into getting a practice facility for the team. (As a member of City of Toronto staff, I can confirm that these things do in fact take time.) From the look of the pictures, this place is something to behold.

But let's remember: It's the BioSteel Centre. BioSteel. Not the BS Centre.
