At various points this season, it's looked like Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan have been deserving of player of the week/month honours. DeRozan picked up a Player of the Week back in December, but for the most part, their hot spells have coincided with the otherworldly performances from other players, like Kemba Walker (!!) last week.
No such misfortune for Dwane Casey this month, however, as he comfortably takes home the Coach of the Month for January.
Raptors' Dwane Casey and Clippers' Doc Rivers named NBA Coaches of the Month for their respective conferences for games played in January.

The Raptors went 12-2 during the month, are in the middle of an active 11-game win streak, and haven't lost since January 4th. While the Cavaliers remain in first place, David Blatt's sudden firing and the recency of Tyronn Lue taking the mantle make Dwane Casey an easy choice.
Casey joins Blatt and Scott Skiles as the Coach of the Month winners so far this year.
Congrats, Coach!
