Raptors vs. Wizards: Toronto goes for the sweep!

Toronto goes for the season sweep of Washington tonight.

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

It's a night for half-assed vengeance in Toronto as the Raptors look for the season sweep of their 2015 playoff foes, the Washington Wizards.

Before the you hit the comments, check out John Gaudes' game preview here.

There, John hits on DeMar DeRozan's recent hot shooting from deep, the impending duel between the Kyle Lowry and John Wall, and Toronto's perpetually soft schedule.

A couple more things to keep an eye on tonight:

* Bradley Beal has been ruled out of tonight's game with a broken nose and a concussion - not a great development for the always injured Wizards as they look to claw back into the playoff picture. Look for Garrett Temple and Otto Porter to get the start on the wings for Washington.

* Also look for how the ever-improving Jonas Valanciunas tackles the daunting challenge that Marcin Gortat poses. There are few defenders who have figured out how to stop Valanciunas from getting his way in the post, but Gortat is one of them. He's super physical, and routinely walls Valanciunas off as he tries to swoop into the paint for his little baby hooks. In two games against the Wizards this season JV is just 5-for-11 for 15 points combined.

Keep in mind that with a win tonight, the Raptors will tie their franchise-best winning streak at nine games.

Enjoy the game and comment away!
