Start 2016 on winning note with FanDuel

The Raptors are looking to get 2016 started with a home win against the Charlotte Hornets and you can play along in a one-day fantasy basketball tournament presented by FanDuel, SB Nation, and Raptors HQ!

Your Toronto Raptors are hosting the Charlotte Hornets tonight, as they try to start 2016 off right with a win. As usual, we're here to give you the opportunity to play along with this and other games on tonight's five-game NBA slate, simply by joining one of the many one-day fantasy basketball tournaments available on FanDuel.

Here are some links to get you started:

  • Click here to enter the contest we're promoting tonight. It only costs $2 to play, the top 23,000 entries win an immediate cash payout, and first place walks away with a cool $15,000.
  • If you're not sure how FanDuel works, check out our initial post on the partnership from the start of the season.

If you're looking for a Raptor to get into your lineup tonight, we've got a suggestion:

DeMar DeRozan ($8,400)

DeRozan is on such a tear right now that you basically can't go wrong with putting him in your lineup at his affordable price point. Over his last seven games, he's averaging a whopping 41.5 fantasy points per contest on the strength of 27.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.4 blocks, and 3.0 turnovers. When the Raptors faced Charlotte back on December 17th, DeRozan had a great line, posting 31 points, four boards, five assists, a steal, and a block, and only one turnover, which was good for 46.3 fantasy points. If he can put up close to that again tonight, he'll more than justify his salary.

Now, let's head on down to the comment section and put together some winning lineups.

Editor's Note: SB Nation's partner FanDuel is running a $200,000 fantasy basketball league tonight. It's $2 to enter and first place wins $15,000. Join now!
