We're Almost There: Raptors Training Camp Starts Next Week

I was watching ESPN this morning and there was Phil Jackson and Derek Fisher talking about Kristaps Porzingas and speculating about Kobe's future beyond this season. So: the basketball season is almost upon us.

The Raptors will hold media day on Monday in Toronto, and then it's off to Burnaby, British Columbia for a second year to begin training camp.

The Raptors will have 18 players attending camp. Assuming 11 roster spots are accounted for (Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, DeMarre Carroll, Jonas Valanciunas, Patrick Patterson, Terrence Ross, James Johnson, Cory Joseph, Luis Scola, Bismack Biyombo and Delon Wright), the remaining seven players (Bruno, BeBe, Norman Powell, Michale Kyser, Ronald Roberts, Shannon Scott, Axel Toupane) will compete for the last remaining spots or for some of them, a chance to start with the Raptors 905 D-League team.

So, it begins.
