Los Angeles natives and longtime friends DeMar DeRozan and James Harden squared off in the Drew League finals on Sunday, with DeRozan being the recipient of a lob pass over the Houston Rockets superstar that sent the crowd into hysterics.
DeRozan's team (M.H.P) eventually fell to Harden's squad (LAUNFD) 98-93. The Toronto Raptors shooting guard finished with 28 points while Harden poured in a game-high 37 of his own, including a clutch tie-breaking three-pointer over Nick Young in the final minute of the game to put his team up for good.
The west coast pro-am tournament has been going strong for over four decades and provides an outlet for fans to see their favorite players in action in a laid back scenario. Raps fans came away pleased with DeRozan's performance, as the All-Star showed improvement from long range all tournament long - a trend that certainly bodes well for the team with training camp on the horizon.
