The NBA draft is scheduled for June 25, 2015, and while the Raptors are not expected to be one of the big movers and/or shakers of the day, the team does have the 20th pick.
To that end, the Raptors are holding their first day of pre-draft workouts today. The following players are out on the practice court today to impress the Raptors brass:
Jerian Grant, Guard, 6-5, Notre Dame
Chavaughn Lewis, Guard, 6-5, Marist
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Forward, 6-7, Arizona
Justin Anderson, Forward, 6-6, Virginia
Maurice Walker, Centre, 6-10, Minnesota
Dallin Bachynski, Centre, 7-0, Utah
The biggest names of the bunch here are Grant, Anderson and Hollis-Jefferson, as all three are projected to go in and around the Raptors no. 20 pick. (This according to Draft Express, anyway, but really who knows?) No word yet on the presumptive favourite at number 20: Louisville's Montrezl Harrell.
Still, this is just day one of pre-draft workouts. There are further workout dates set for June 10th and 13th, with free agent camps also being held on June 11th and 12th.
What do you guys think so far?
