With the NBA Draft just under two weeks away, the Raptors have wasted no time working out many of the players that could be available come the 20th pick. We're still no closer to understanding what exactly Toronto and GM Masai Ujiri will be looking for on June 25th, we at least know the names of all the players they've had a specific look at.
Tomorrow's group includes a couple of names that have been floating around as possible Raps' picks for some time now. Here are the six:
Delon Wright Guard 6-5 Utah
Jabril Trawick Guard 6-5 Georgetown
Kevon Looney Forward 6-9 UCLA
Michale Kyser Forward 6-8 Louisiana Tech
Cliff Alexander Forward 6-8 Kansas
Montrezl Harrell Forward 6-7 Louisville
Going by our bible at Draft Express (thanks guys!), it definitely looks like Looney and Harrell are the stars of the day, with Wright coming in third. While I do not profess to be an expert at NCAA ball, Harrell's apparent size and athleticism do seem to recommend him as a solid pick at 20. He may also fill a specific need for the Raptors. (Namely, size and athleticism.)
Meanwhile, the other names include apparent late second-round prospect Cliff Alexander, a return of Michale "What did I say about Soze jokes" Kyser, and the anonymous Jabril Trawick, he of great name but no birthday.
Look for our summary of the workout tomorrow. For now, what do you guys think of this group of players? How about all 17 players the team worked out?
