Poll: What should the Raptors do with Jonas Valanciunas?

With his third year now in the books, we're still trying to decide what the Raptors should do with Jonas Valanciunas.

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Earlier today you may have read John Gaudes' look at the stunted growth of Jonas Valanciunas. (If you haven't read it, go ahead now.) In the piece, our man Gaudes reflects on Jonas' usage rate on offense (pretty low), his decisiveness with the ball (pump fakes galore!), and his defensive awareness (um, also pretty low). We're still undecided as to what to make of the young Lithuanian.

Therefore, in the final analysis, we arrive at a question: where does Jonas Valanciunas fit with the Toronto Raptors and, really, within the NBA as a whole?

Now, as if things weren't complicated enough, there's also Valanciunas' contract situation to consider. He's entering the final year of his rookie deal, which means the Raptors have to either offer him a big contract extension by October 31st, or offer a one-year qualifying deal (in advance of full-on free agency), or let Jonas enter restricted free agency. Given the time frame, there's obviously some anxiety out there with regards to what the Raptors may do.

So, it's time to play armchair GM and make the call. What should Masai Ujiri and the Raptors do with Jonas Valanciunas? Everything is in play. Now, let's go to the poll!
