Coach Casey provides Lowry Injury Update: "He's fine. Bruised."

We assume Casey is talking about Kyle Lowry's shin.

John E. Sokolowski-USA TODAY Sports

After two games of the Raptors/Wizards series, the question on everybody's mind is: What is going on with Kyle Lowry? He's been ineffective in the series so far, prone to bad shots and even worse fouls (some of which may have been "soft" in nature, but let's table that discussion). And, he's had to watch the ends of both Game 1 and 2 from the bench.

In last night's game, a collision with Paul Pierce (of course) forced Lowry from the game and effectively put an end to whatever chance the Raps' had for a comeback. (Note: the chances were minimal anyway.) Coupled with his fouling out in Game 1 and things have not been going too well for the Raptors' All-Star.

From today, coach Dwane Casey has an update on Lowry's condition:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>&quot;He&#39;s fine. Bruised,&quot; Casey says of Lowry&#39;s shin.</p>&mdash; Eric Koreen (@ekoreen) <a href="https://twitter.com/ekoreen/status/590924986833104896">April 22, 2015</a></blockquote>

One assumes here that Casey is talking about Lowry's shin. It's safe to assume his psyche or his pride may be bruised as well. Game 3 is up on Friday and it'll be, effectively, the last chance Lowry has to make his mark on the series.

Here's hoping Lowry is more than just fine.
