Kyle Lowry left the game with back spasms early in the second quarter of last night's loss at Detroit and did not return. Last Wednesday, Lowry suffered a back contusion against the Minnesota Timberwolves and traveled with the team to Chicago and dressed but did not play. Lowry also sat out Sunday's win over the Knicks and was back in the lineup last night, but it did not last long.
This time around, it looks like he's going to be extra cautious:
Lowry: "I'mma take my time. I'mma make sure I'm completely and fully healthy before I even step back on the floor"

Lowry said he tweaked his back, twisted it the wrong way and couldn't finish the game. He doesn't plan on rushing back again.

With just 11 games left in the season, maybe it's best for Lowry to simply take a week or two off, and get right for the playoffs. At this point, the Raptors are still battling for seeding and home court advantage in the first round, but they're going nowhere without a healthy Lowry (one could argue they're going nowhere even with a healthy Lowry).
