The news is in: Lucas Nogueira, known to all as Bebe, owner of some of the most ridiculous hair in basketball, has been sent to Fort Wayne to play for the Mad Ants of the NBA's D-League.
For a Raptors team already mired in a deep depression, this is some sad news.
Despite only playing in six games this year - with averages of 1.0 and 1.8 rebounds - Bebe has been a delightful presence on the bench, in the locker room and in the city of Toronto. A quick run through Bebe's Instagram will prove that.
The worst part about all of this: his fellow Brazilian Bruno Caboclo was recently recalled back to Toronto. Are the Raptors trying to break up the future of Brazilian basketball? Were Bebe and Bruno keeping things too real?
