What's the mood of these 5-0 Raptors? Casey: "We should be pissed off."

Sean Deveney of the Sporting News wrote about the mentality of the Raps and their 5-0 start.

Despite the plain fact that the Raptors are 5-0 right now, there is reason to be only cautiously optimistic. Remember, this is a franchise that got off to a hot start last year, only to crumble completely by the time playoffs rolled around.

Sean Deveney of the Sporting News asked the Raptors about their feelings on last year. First, here's DeMar DeRozan:

"Nobody wants to go out like we did," star guard DeMar DeRozan told Sporting News. "It sucks. It was a long summer. Especially when we know we can beat a team like that. We beat them all season. We understand we were a better team than that. That's something we have got to play with the whole year."

Coach Dwane Casey added:

"We should be pissed off," Casey said. "The way we ended the year, we should be, but what we have got to do now is be pissed off but have it in our rearview mirror. Now, we have to handle business. We can't cry over spilt milk. We have to use last year as a motivation to stay focused on the job at hand."

It's nice to see US media outlets providing some longer form coverage on the Raptors early on this season. With recent history still hanging around though, it'll be up to the Raptors--even at 5-0--to prove they are legit this time around.
